This rare Porsche 996 RS chassis number WPOZZZ99Z1S692091, one of the 91 built from 2001 to 2003, was sold in the end of 2000 to be entered at the 2001 Daytona 24h for its first race. The car was actually purchased new from Porsche by a Mr Stone and was race/entered by Kelly Moss Motorsport in 2001 ALMS including Sebring 12h mainly by Bouchut, Lazzaro and Murray.
It was later sold to Del Bello racing, raced in Spanish GT and Le Mans 1000Km in 2003. In 2004 it raced again the Spanish GT. In 2005 it was sold to a private and used as a track day car ever since.
The current owner, a reputed collector purchased it in 2013 and it has recently undergone a complete overhaul including a full engine rebuild and a full race ready preparation at no expenses spared. The bodywork was totally rebuilt to concours condition and repainted into its original ALMS 2001 colours.
It has only been driven for 2 hours since the rebuild and can only be described as being immaculate and “as new” – a real eye-catcher in this livery. It is to be noted that this car was never damaged and always perfectly maintained, whilst most of these cars were quite heavily “molested”. It is now for sale at Now ready to race or to sit in any major Porsche collection this is a unique opportunity to acquire a fine 911 race car which will soon raise significantly in value.
